I did get another tablecloth for my round table, got it at Walmart, $8… can’t beat that with a stick! Today I made a pillow to go on it, along with my other little doo-dahs I like to put on there -

It was a day to build a fairy house
Today was the perfect day to be outside. The temperature was pleasant, just a nice little breeze, no hot blazing sun and everything in the garden is in new bloom. What better day could be picked to build fairy houses?
This is Riley’s gazebo – a flower chandelier, a comfy chaise lounge and a very trendy tree bud lamp. Notice the dude at the side? He’s the scarecrow.
Mine turned out to be a bedroom -
(there is a little privacy screen there, a fairy needs her privacy!)
And here you can see her bed, with a pillow and coverlet made from tulip leaves. She’s even got a little looking glass on the wall – can you see it? She also has a flower chandelier!

Vintage Tablecloth is complete!
Well, last night I blocked the tablecloth and this morning, I put it on my table!
Here are the pictures from beginning to end -

It’s blue, not green

And finished and on the table! I need a different tablecloth, but that’s not happening today
If you remember from the picture, it should have another 7 rows or so -
but I didn’t have enough yarn to complete those rows. I think it’s a good thing, actually, because my table is so small, it seems pretty long. Well, maybe I should get a bigger table and a new tablecloth – nahhh…then it wouldn’t fit in the entryway.
I think I’ll just enjoy it as is! The yarn I used is http://www.knitpicks.com/yarns/Simply_Cotton_Sport_Yarn__D5420198.html in Wave Heather. I think I used about 8 1/2 skeins. (don’t quote me on that, I can’t really remember)

Vintage Seing Patterns
I think I’ve fallen into Vintage World 
I found 2 vintage patterns that I just love, ordered them and received them yesterday.
Do you remember there was a time when patterns were not printed? Markings were notated by small holes punched into the paper.
Isn’t that a cute little dress?
There are embroidery transfers included on the pattern directions. What’s funny, is the entire pattern direction sheet is printed with the transfer ink! (not just the flowers!)
The lady I bought them from, included the original mailing envelope. I don’t know what year this pattern is from, but the post mark is 1 1/2 cents. That should tell you something!
I smoothed out the original pattern pieces, and then copied them onto pattern paper. I’ll keep the originals safely tucked away and use the copies to make the dress.
I imagine you want to know where I bought the patterns, huh? Well, I will tell you, but don’t buy up the childrens patterns before I do, ok? lol
Stitches and Loops I can’t recommend her shop highly enough. She shipped them right away, and was friendly to visit with in our emails. I accidentally bought the same pattern twice :/ and she had to set me straight, but in a nice way. With a refund!!!! LOL

Vintage Crochet
Now, I know I haven’t been posting much. But you know me well enough to know – I must be working on something!
I’m currently all gaga over vintage crochet patterns. Here is my picture -
This the pattern. Now, this little pattern was printed in 1980, which isn’t THAT vintage. But I have others! 
And see that blue crocheting under the booklet? That is the true color of the tablecloth. I’m not sure why it turned so green for it’s photo debut. Just remember the blue!
And I’ll be showing them to you. But first, I must finish the tablecloth. I have a little round table in my entry way, that NEEDS a new tablecloth!
Wouldn’t you say? Now, I know the picture is lacking in light and definition – but you get the gist. Besides, it’s a Before picture and those aren’t supposed to be good.
