The Princess Dress

I love to make little girl dresses and when Riah decided she wanted to be a princess for halloween, well, I was so happy at the thought of making a princess dress! Honestly, I thought about making 2 or 3, and letting her decide which one she liked best :) But I had a week to do this, before shoulder surgery, so I had to settle for one dress.

Had Surgery

on Friday - on my shoulder. Should be better soon, but posts will be scarce for about a week or so.

My Etsy Shop is Open!

Yes, I have opened an Etsy shop. I guess I miss the whole making and selling thing. Right now I just have 3 pincushions in there, but give me time! It'll be full in no time!! Here are some pics of the pincushions -

Well, for some unknown weird reason, yesterday I decided to rearrange my sewing room. And I mean the BIG rearrange! I've taken down shelves, moved cabinets - nearly the entire contents of my sewing room is out in the dining room, the living room, and the entry way. It looks like my sewing room exploded :)

So, here I sit, among utter chaos, calmly entering things into my shop :) Some days are just like that! :)

I'm Home!

Well, I've been home for a few days now, and am finally feeling recovered enough to share my trip with you. I think I was gone nearly 3 weeks, and Mike said, "Never again!" :)

First of all, the Big Event - Evan made his appearance and he is the cutest little thing. Ok, not so little 8 lbs 8 oz on his birthday and he's bigger now, but still...

This picture says, "Call me!" :) or "What's this thing on the end of my arm?" either way.... cute :)

Now he's zonked out, cause it's hard work being a baby. All that eating, pooping and sleeping you know.

You'll see more of him as he grows up.

Also had my birthday at home, with my mom and sisters and that hasn't happened for 5 yrs (since I married Mike) so it was a lot of fun.

oops, not that one!!!!! (lol)

And now we are our regular, sedate selves again.

And look at this cute little fruit bowl that was at Shannon's baby shower! Courtney's fiance made this, I think it is just darling!


And speaking of her shower, it was held at her friend Sue's house, in the backyard. She is making the cutest garden, I had to take pictures of it. Now I know what to do with the rest of my stick pile!! :)
